To garter, or not to garter?

This week I am mostly sick. The smell of anything makes me wanna hurl and I have no appetite whatsoever, blurgh.

Anyway enough of my ailments, I have been sitting in my room (otherwise known as my 'pit') pondering on the point of wearing a garter on your wedding day? Is it just for the excuse of getting your legs out and being a  bit saucy? I just don't see the point in it to be honest. Am I alone here? It just strikes me as being a bit '90's'!

I'm with you on the whole garter thing - I just don't get it. My dress was rather slinky so it didn't even cross my mind to wear one as it just wouldn't have worked. No idea if people really still do this though, it definitely has 90s connotations!

Hope you feel better soon!

Yep, I find it weird too. If somebody tells me a good reason for wearing one, I'll consider it, but until then, I'm going garterless....

xx
Yeah the garter thing is odd; I did wear one as my something borrowed, it was my mums, but dont thing anyone saw it!

Yes, I find it a bit tawdry and embarrassing to be honest. But I'm a firm believer that there should be no 'shoulds' or 'musts' with weddings and everyone should do what is best for them. That means definitely no garter for me but if it gives another bride an extra sashay in her step, well, that's up to her!
