Knitting and second hand stuff.

I am a bad knitter. I've managed one and a half dog earred squares so far, this has taken me a week!

This also means I am one and a half squares nearer to my goal of knitting the baby a blanket! The sense of achievement I may feel once I have done this will be immense because as much as I pride myself on being creative, I generally lose concentration (and patience) and give up half way through a project.

I have been a busy ebayer, trying to sell left over bits and bobs from the wedding. Also I am a bad ebayer because I have been buying second hand clothing, so where i am trying to recoup some money spent on the wedding, I am paying out for vintage clothing. Hmmm. I really am a nightmare.

I have spotted the perfect pushchair too, although this is second hand too. Mr O has no issue with buying second hand stuff - but I fear I may be looked down upon if I tell people that my fancy pram is, shock horror, second hand. It's not that we can't afford it brand new, but more that I am becoming so aware of wasting money, having just spent a disgusting amount of money on our wedding I am becoming a little more frugal again. It's not that I don't want the very best for Baby O, I am getting the very best for Baby O, i'm just getting it at a discount. I don't know how much support people get from their families, if it's common place for the soon to be grandparents or great grandparents to buy for the new arrival - but I don't have parents\grandparents of my own to spoil Baby O (and I wouldn't expect it even if they were alive) so I can only do my best to provide what I can, how I can.

So roll on 5pm this evening, where my dream pushchair finishes it's auction on Ebay - wish me luck!

Good luck! My eBay tip is always to wait until the last 5 seconds and then type in the absolute maximum you'd be willing to pay. I've been so successful with that method.

Having fallen in love with all kinds of maternity wear (I've always been addicted to empire line tea/wrap dresses!) I have been scouring eBay for second-hand maternity wear. No luck, whatsoever.
